Victorian Art Doll

I always thought dolls were kind of goofy..what's the point? Then I bought Somerset's Art Doll Quarterly and my whole concept changed. Wow! So, of course, I had to try to make some. I've made a couple of paperdolls, a big felted doll and a smaller felted doll. I decided to try one using a book for the skirt. I whacked a book in half, no easy task, and folded the pages to create the skirt. Then I just went to town dressing her. She was a ton of fun to make and guess what, I still have the other half of the book!

Jo,
I love her! I used to make Christmas trees and Angels out of books, like you made her skirt. She is a BIG improvement over those projects.
I absolutley love all the texture on her, what a delight!
